The police are conducting five searches in Dâmbovița in a case of fraud through fictitious accommodation advertisements, in which over 100 people have been deceived.

The Târgoviște Municipal Police carried out five home searches on Thursday morning in the Dragomirești commune, in a case of fraud related to the publication of fictitious accommodation advertisements.

The action was coordinated by a prosecutor from the Târgoviște Court and targets a 25-year-old man, suspected of having misled over 100 people between August 2024 and January 2025, causing them to pay a total of over 103,000 lei for non-existent accommodation spaces. The money was deposited into bank accounts opened fraudulently, using the identity of individuals in precarious financial situations.
