Police carried out raids in Bucharest and Giurgiu, targeting two women accused of fraud by misleading a vulnerable person. The two, known as the 'witches' Claudia and Maria, persuaded the victim to offer them large sums of money for occult rituals, promising solutions to personal problems. The total damage amounted to almost €31,000 and the women were detained for 24 hours. Authorities are continuing investigations and advise caution in online interactions.
