Elena Costache, president of the CSM, expressed her concerns about the Government's intentions to change the retirement age and the amount of magistrates' pensions, considering that they could lead to the destabilization of justice and its enslavement. In response to Mayor Nicușor Dan's statements on retirement applications, Costache explained that magistrates cannot indicate a precise retirement date, as they depend on the President's signature. Dan also emphasized that most retirement requests do not respect the 90-day notification deadline, which raises questions about their handling.
