The SCM published a balance sheet for 2024, showing a significant increase in judicial activity, with 3,655,103 cases handled, compared to 3,214,079 in 2023. Judges had an average caseload of 1,519 cases per year, with a 13% staffing deficit, or more than 660 vacancies. This shortfall cannot be filled in the short term because of the deadlock in the judicial entrance exams.
