The AEP employee, Vlad Jipa, who was accused of leaving for Dubai while being on medical leave, has resigned. The President of the Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP), Adrian Zăbăuianu, announced that Vlad Jipa's resignation does not exempt him from responsibility.

The AEP emphasized that the disciplinary investigation will continue, and Jipa's behavior is considered incompatible with public office.

"Submitting a resignation does not annul administrative and disciplinary responsibility for the actions committed," said Adrian Zăbăuianu.

Additionally, the institution rejected Vlad Jipa's accusations, who suggested that the actions of the management might be related to his public positioning.

The AEP has reported an alarming phenomenon, with over 1,100 medical leaves recorded in the last three years, and Zăbăuianu warned that any violations will be sanctioned.

Vlad Jipa contested the accusations, stating that he was on vacation in Abu Dhabi and returned to the country on March 8, after flights were canceled.
