On Monday evening, the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) issued a RO-Alert message for Tulcea County, warning the population about the possibility of falling objects from the airspace, following a new drone attack by the Russians on Ukraine. The Ministry of National Defense has scrambled two F-16 aircraft as a precautionary measure. The RO-Alert message recommends that residents stay indoors, away from windows and exterior walls, and seek shelter in basements or civil protection shelters, if possible.
The estimated duration of the danger is 90 minutes. This message comes shortly after a similar alert was issued, after the Air Force Staff detected drones approaching Romanian airspace. Authorities urge the population to remain calm and follow safety instructions.
