Rompetrol, together with the SMURD Foundation, has completed an important project by installing semi-automatic defibrillators in 80 fuel distribution stations across Romania and in various public spaces in Constanța and Prahova counties. This initiative, with an investment of over 1 million lei, aims to increase the intervention capacity in case of emergency for victims of cardiac arrest. The defibrillators are placed in heavily trafficked areas, which improves the chances of survival in the critical first minutes. Rompetrol employees have been trained to use these devices. The project in Prahova was carried out in collaboration with the Ploiești City Hall, and the defibrillators are available on the map of the Emergency Situations Department application. The collaboration between Rompetrol and the SMURD Foundation, started in 2009, has led to numerous initiatives aimed at supporting the emergency medical system in Romania.
