The Attorney General of Romania, Alex Florența, stated that the country continues to be the target of a hybrid war, having evidence linking Russia to interventions in the 2024 presidential electoral process. Although the details are not public, four companies involved in these activities have been identified.

Florența mentioned that there are ongoing investigations related to sabotage attempts and that all evidence points to Russia. Another case investigates how the military arsenal confiscated from the mercenary Horațiu Potra entered Romania, suggesting the complicity of some officials. The prosecutor emphasized the importance of investigating suspicious flights from Congo to Romania.

He also commented on the illegal overflight of Romanian airspace by Russian drones, cases integrated into an international case managed by Interpol. Florența mentioned that he has never discussed these threats with former president Klaus Iohannis.
