Romanians will benefit from more days off at the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026, enjoying four consecutive days of rest in December. Christmas days, which fall on Thursday and Friday, will allow employees to enjoy a free period between December 25 and 28.
Additionally, the beginning of 2026 will bring a new extended weekend, with January 1 and 2 also falling on Thursday and Friday. Thus, Romanians can plan a mini-vacation of up to ten days, considering that January 6 and 7 are also legal holidays.
