Romanian military personnel from the Romanian Department for Emergency Situations left on Saturday for France to participate in a pre-training program, organized by DG ECHO, to improve the response to forest fires. The contingent of 40 firefighters will use 9 technical means of intervention. The program, funded by the European Union, aims to reduce response times and streamline preparedness. The changeover will take place on July 16, when another 40 firefighters will take over.
