In the first four months of the year, police intervened in 40,030 cases of domestic violence, mostly in rural areas

During this period, the police issued 3,788 provisional protection orders, of which 1,464 were validated by the courts. The most frequently reported offenses were 'assault or other violence' (57%) and 'threatening' (12%), which together account for more than 69% of all cases.
