The NGO 'Traveler through Romania' sent a letter to the Museum of History in Berlin, requesting a list of all items belonging to the Monteoru culture that were taken to Germany during World War I. This culture, representative of the Bronze Age, was researched by German archaeologists during the occupation.
Tănăsescu emphasizes that Romania has never requested the return of these cultural goods, and his NGO proposes to develop a study on the discoveries from Monteoru. In the letter addressed to the museum, it is mentioned that many of the stolen items include tools, clay pots, and gold jewelry. Iulian Tănăsescu, the founder of the organization, believes it is essential for Romanians to know the history of the stolen cultural heritage and to collaborate with the German museum for its promotion.
