Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan has confirmed the government's intention to implement a series of tax measures, including VAT increases, higher excise duties on tobacco and fuel, and additional taxation of large pensions. These measures are aimed at improving revenue collection, combating tax evasion and broadening the taxpayer base. Capital taxation on banks and gambling is also being discussed, in the context of the problems encountered by the health insurance fund.
