The incident took place on August 29, when border police were alerted by a commercial operator about a man trying to use suspicious banknotes. Upon verification, it was found that the three banknotes presented were counterfeit, and following a detailed inspection, another 14 fake banknotes were discovered. The man, who was about to fly to Amsterdam, is now being investigated for circulating counterfeit currency.
