The Romanian Academy of Scientists has announced that its members will reduce their monthly stipend by 20% to contribute to the country's economic recovery efforts. The savings will be used to fund scientific projects, especially for young researchers. The AOSR hopes that this gesture will inspire other institutions to participate in these initiatives. The AOSR also points out that research grants for teams of young researchers are funded annually from its budget.
