The Romanian state has signed a lobbying agreement with the American firm Global Security and Innovative Strategies LLC (GSIS) to obtain assistance in working with the US, particularly on security and public safety issues. GSIS, which helped Qatar gain admission into the Visa Waiver Program, will provide services to Romania for a fee of $25,000 per month until October 2025. The agreement comes in the context of the indefinite suspension of Romania's inclusion in the Visa Waiver program by DHS to comply with security requirements.
