The Minister of Finance, Nazare, stated that the Romanian economy will continue to grow, with a forecast of at least 1% by 2026, according to estimates from authorities and international institutions such as the IMF and the World Bank. Although Romania has entered a technical recession, with two consecutive quarters of GDP decline, Nazare emphasizes that this does not represent an economic crisis, but rather a cyclical adjustment. He highlighted that the Romanian economy has experienced real growth, even in the context of strict budgetary measures.

The Minister mentioned that public investments have reached a historic record, and exports have increased, thus supporting the economy. Additionally, unemployment remains at a low level, and household deposits in banks are rising, indicating stability. Nazare emphasized the importance of budgetary discipline to maintain investor confidence and warned that any deviations from fiscal consolidation could lead to a more severe economic adjustment. In conclusion, the Romanian economy is consolidating on healthier foundations, with effective management of public funds and strategic measures.
