In the first half of 2025, Romania registered 326 victims of human trafficking, of which 42% were minors and 79% were women, most of whom were recruited by acquaintances and sexually exploited. On the occasion of the World Anti-Trafficking Day, ANITP organized educational and civic mobilization actions, collaborating with authorities and international organizations. Prevention campaigns include media messages and collaborations with the private sector, such as florists and coffee shops, to inform the public about the risks. The ANITP emphasizes the importance of continuing the fight against this phenomenon.
