The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, announced the launch of a national strategy dedicated to the quality of medical care and patient safety, which will cover the period 2026–2032. This strategy focuses on three main directions: improving the quality of care and patient safety, reducing mortality and avoidable hospitalizations, as well as strengthening trust in the healthcare system.

Rogobete emphasized the importance of transitioning from fragmented approaches to a coherent system, in which quality is constantly monitored and corrected. The strategy was developed in collaboration with various organizations, including ANMCS and WHO, and includes clear indicators and implementation timelines. It aims to standardize clinical practice, strengthen primary care, and involve patients in the decision-making process, with the goal of improving their experience in the healthcare system.
