The Vice President of ANCOM: "Romania will become the most relevant country, in terms of SpaceX infrastructure, in Europe"

Pavel Popescu, vice president of ANCOM, discussed at the Romania Digital Forum about the investments already made by Space X in Romania, estimated at approximately one hundred million euros.

Additionally, the vice president of ANCOM stated that Romania is open to companies like Amazon and Eutelsat, highlighting the potential for expanding space infrastructure.

Pavel Popescu emphasized the transition to low Earth orbit satellites, essential for the resilience of global networks, and criticized European regulations that could affect international partnerships.

According to him, Romania must take on an active role on the European stage, considering that the already invested digital infrastructure will influence the economy and critical services.
