According to the report of the Universal Postal Union (UPU), Romania ranks 47th out of 180 countries in the global postal services ranking, with a score of 69.5 points, placing it at level 8 of postal development. Although it has recorded an improvement compared to previous years, the Romanian Post remains behind the majority of Eastern European countries, surpassing only the Republic of Moldova. Romanian postal services are appreciated for their reliability but are considered irrelevant to the current needs of consumers, having a low score of 30.9 for relevance. UPU emphasizes that in order to remain relevant, postal services must adapt to the expectations of digital natives, diversifying their offerings and integrating digital platforms. At the top of the ranking is the Swiss Post, followed by Germany and Japan. Additionally, the Romanian Post recently introduced a new logo, which has generated mixed reactions online.
