The Romanian immigration authorities have processed a significant number of documents for Ukrainian citizens who sought refuge in Romania due to the armed conflict in Ukraine. In December of this year, 583 permits were issued, continuing the support efforts for refugees. Additionally, 4,534 Ukrainian citizens have applied for asylum in Romania; however, no new applications were registered in December. Individuals who have submitted asylum applications are accommodated in the six regional procedure and accommodation centers, which are utilized at a rate of 19.9%, indicating availability for new applications.
