A Romanian Air Force C-130 Hercules military aircraft carried out a medical evacuation mission from Israel on Wednesday, transporting 10 Palestinian patients and 23 relatives. This action was requested by the Department for Emergency Situations, following a request from the European Emergency Response Coordination Center, in the context of security tensions in the Gaza Strip. After the evacuation, five of the patients and five relatives will be transported to the Netherlands with another aircraft of the Romanian Air Force. The mission was accompanied by medical teams from SMURD and the Ministry of National Defense, thus ensuring the necessary assistance during the flight.
