At the opening of the NATO Industry Forum 2025, the Minister of Defense, Ionuț Moșteanu, highlighted the strategic directions of Romania's defense policy, which is based on three fundamental pillars. The first pillar focuses on strengthening deterrence capability, essential for ensuring national security. The second pillar aims at developing the defense industry, in order to support the national economy and improve military equipment. Finally, the third pillar refers to providing ongoing support to Ukraine, in the context of the current conflict, emphasizing Romania's commitment to regional stability. The Ministry of National Defense thus reaffirmed the importance of these directions in the country's defense strategy.
