Romania supports the joint declaration on agriculture in the EU-Ukraine agreement and proposes setting up a crisis fund for European farmers affected by excessive imports

Agriculture Minister Florin Barbu said Romania fully supports changes to the EU-Ukraine trade agreement, stressing the need for a crisis fund for European farmers affected by imports from Ukraine. Barbu stressed the importance of protecting farmers' interests and proposed a flexible and rapid fund, with a two-year review clause, to respond effectively to market changes. Romania reaffirms its role as a strategic partner in the European agricultural sector.
