Ionuț Moșteanu, the Minister of National Defense, stated in an interview for Digi24 that Romania aims to become the second military power on NATO's eastern flank and a defense provider in the Black Sea area, according to the National Defense Strategy. He emphasizes the importance of continuing investments in the military and close collaboration with international partners. Moșteanu mentions a paradigm shift, moving from the status of a defense consumer to that of a provider.
He also highlighted the necessity for the population to accept the increase in defense spending.
