During the meeting with Jean Charles Ellermann-Kingombe, NATO's special coordinator for hybrid threats, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Oana Ţoiu, emphasized Romania's role as a hub of cyber expertise, capable of providing solutions to the entire Alliance. The discussions focused on hybrid and cyber threats from the Russian Federation, particularly in the Black Sea region.
Ţoiu highlighted the importance of cooperation among Allied states to counter these threats. Romania, by hosting the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre, also confirms its strategic role in the field of cybersecurity.
Additionally, the establishment of the Cyber Triple Alliance between Romania, the Republic of Moldova, and Ukraine was mentioned, a partnership aimed at protecting critical infrastructures and democratic processes.
