On Saturday morning, the residents of Tulcea were alerted through a RO-Alert message, which warned them about possible falling objects from the airspace. Authorities recommended that citizens take shelter in basements or civil protection shelters, and in the absence of these, to remain indoors, away from windows and exterior walls.

The message was transmitted in the context in which, on the same morning, President Nicușor Dan announced that a drone had been shot down in Romanian airspace, 10 km west of the town of Sfântu Gheorghe, by a Romanian pilot from an F-16 aircraft.

This is the second RO-Alert message transmitted within 24 hours, after a swarm of drones approached Romania's river border during a Russian attack. The incident underscores the intensification of military activities in the area and the need to remain vigilant.
