The Secretary of State in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Raed Arafat, expressed the need to limit access for children and adolescents under 15-16 years old to social networks, considering that they pose a significant risk to their mental health. Arafat emphasized that parliamentarians should take responsibility for creating a legislative framework in this regard, given the serious recent events involving young people. He clarified that the proposal does not represent censorship, but a measure of protection. He also mentioned that countries such as France, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Norway are already addressing this issue.
