Raed Arafat, head of the Department for Emergency Situations (DSU), stated that official checks revealed serious facts in the criminal case regarding alleged fictitious hiring at DSU.
He claims that the prosecutor obtained jurisdiction artificially, invoking false circumstances, which undermines the entire case. The head of DSU states that for over a year, the criminal investigation was conducted without the targeted individuals being informed, thus limiting their procedural rights. Additionally, the prosecutor requested intrusive technical surveillance measures, which were authorized based on these false premises.
Arafat emphasizes that these actions are not mere errors, but reflect a method incompatible with the demands of the law.
We remind that Raed Arafat was summoned in April to the Military Prosecutor's Office to be heard in the case regarding fictitious hiring within the institution.
