Radu Miruță, about the postponement of the decision to raise subway ticket prices

The interim Minister of Transport, Radu Miruță, announced on Tuesday that the decision to increase the subway fare to 7 lei has not yet been implemented, although the order was signed by former minister Ciprian Șerban.

Miruță requested additional data to understand the reasoning behind this price increase and emphasized that options for reducing expenses at Metrorex should be explored instead of imposing an additional burden on travelers.

During the 60-day postponement period, Metrorex must present a plan to reduce expenses by at least 10%. Former minister Ciprian Șerban reacted to questions regarding the signing of this decision, mentioning that it was a situation of "bad luck".
