On Sunday, 29 June 2025, pupils and students in Bucharest, organized by ANOSR, CNE and CTR, are protesting against the reduction of the scholarship fund. They are marching from University Square to the Government headquarters, emphasizing that education is an investment, not an expense. The protests come in reaction to the government's intention to change the way scholarships are calculated, which would affect access to education for disadvantaged groups. Education minister Daniel David acknowledged the students' discontent but explained the need for reforms in the scholarship system.
