The circulation of buses, trams, and trolleybuses in Bucharest is seriously affected on Wednesday morning due to heavy snowfall. STB has activated an intervention plan to ensure safe operation, mobilizing 225 employees and 33 snowplow-brush vehicles to clear the tram tracks. Additionally, 11 snow removal machines will operate at bus depots and garages. STB recommends that citizens avoid non-essential travel and use the InfoTB application for updated information.

Meteorologists have issued a warning for heavy snowfall, with a snow layer of 20-50 cm, and in Bucharest and Ilfov County, red alerts have been issued for heavy snowfall.

Additionally, train circulation is severely affected on Wednesday morning, with 20 services suspended and delays of up to five hours at the North Station. IGSU reported that the snow and blizzard have affected 67 localities in 21 counties and the municipality of Bucharest.
