On Friday evening, several dozen protesters gathered in front of the Government headquarters, organizing an action against special pensions, under the aegis of the Declic Community, alongside 'Corruption Kills' and 'Romania Initiative'. The demonstrators called for a constitutional referendum to eliminate special pensions and displayed banners with critical messages regarding the privileges of magistrates. Among the slogans chanted were 'Magistrates, not aristocrats' and 'We ask you to excuse us, we do not work as much as you earn'. Similar protests also took place in other cities across the country, such as Timișoara and Iași. Civil organizations emphasized the need for a real reform of special pensions, based on the principle of contribution. Criticism focused on the double standard applied by politicians, who protect the privileges of magistrates while ordinary citizens bear the burden of austerity measures. A proposed solution is the implementation of the principle 'everyone receives according to how much they contributed.'
