Alin Fumurescu, professor of political philosophy at the University of Houston and contributor to Dilema magazine, died on May 11, at the age of 57. After graduating in Medicine and Philosophy in Cluj, he settled in the USA, where he obtained his PhD. He was editor-in-chief of various Romanian publications and published acclaimed works, including 'Compromise. A Political and Philosophical History'. Fumurescu was married with three children and had recently become a grandfather. Dilema magazine sent its condolences to the family.
