President Nicușor Dan clarifies the role of intelligence services in combating tax evasion

At a press conference at the Cotroceni Palace, Romanian President Nicușor Dan clarified that the intelligence services do not carry out tax audits, but only collect information relevant to national security. He stressed the importance of prioritizing data collection, including in the area of tax evasion. Dan mentioned the need for civilian control over the services, emphasizing the role of the civilian director and collaboration with the head of the SPP in assessing security institutions.
