Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan has initiated an administrative reform by reducing the number of employees at EximBank, transforming a 17-member committee with high salaries into a 5-member committee with reduced allowances. The move is part of a broader strategy to streamline government committees and commissions, known as "sinecures". Minister of Finance Alexandru Nazare stressed the importance of accountability and efficiency in Romania's economic recovery, in the context of irregularities reported by the Court of Auditors in the activity of EximBank.
