At a press conference, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan announced that VAT will be adjusted, reducing the number of rates from three to two. The reduced rate of 11% will include medicines, food, irrigation water, books, firewood and heating energy. The HoReCa sector is also proposed to benefit from this reduced rate.
