In the Victoria Palace, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan will hold talks with Celine Gauer, head of the NRRP, on the conditions needed to access European funds. Officials in Brussels stress the importance of tax reform and clearing energy companies of sinecures. In addition, Bolojan will discuss austerity measures with S&P, in the context of Romania's downgrade risk. Some €6 billion of the NRRP could be lost due to delays in investments and the government is facing backlogs in submitting payment claims.
