Paula Hriscu posted a video on TikTok in which she distances herself from the television station Realitatea TV, which used her song "Romania, proud land" in a political context. The artist prohibited the use of the song after learning that it was banned for a children's choir that wanted to perform it on December 1st, due to its association with a "political color." Hriscu emphasized that she does not support any political party and that her music should not be politicized.

She also dismissed rumors that she would like the song to become a national anthem and explained that the excessive use of the song by the media has led to a distorted perception. Additionally, the artist faced criticism from the Orthodox organization "Oastea Domnului" for a new song, "Acasa mea," which did not align with their vision. Hriscu stated that she does not intend to create controversy and that she wishes to remain outside of politics.
