Panic in Constanța: Fractured gas conduct, massive evacuations

On Monday afternoon, a call to the ISU Dobrogea Dispatch alerted the authorities about a ruptured gas pipeline on a street in the municipality of Constanța.

Following this incident, ISU Dobrogea crews intervened urgently, evacuating residents from the affected area over an area of approximately 500 square meters. Additionally, the nearby kindergarten was evacuated, and about 160 children were taken outside to ensure their safety.

A team from Distrigaz intervened to stop the gas supply, thus eliminating the danger. Authorities confirmed that, fortunately, no casualties were reported as a result of the incident.
