The residency contest in Romania will take place on Sunday, with 10,147 candidates registered for 5,079 places and 295 available positions. It will be held in the university centers of Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Craiova, Iași, Târgu-Mureș, and Timișoara. Compared to last year, the number of candidates has slightly decreased from 10,575. In the field of medicine, 6,956 candidates have registered for 4,354 places, while in dental medicine and pharmacy, 1,950 and 1,241 candidates have registered, respectively.
The most available places are in the specialties of family medicine, internal medicine, and cardiology, while the specialties with the fewest places are pediatric neurology and sports medicine. At the "Carol Davila" University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, 37% of the candidates are concentrated, with 3,881 registered. The contest consists of a multiple-choice test of 200 questions, with a minimum passing score of 60%. Complaints can be submitted within 24 hours after the contest, and responses will be provided within 48 hours.
