The National Meteorological Administration has issued an orange code for rain and sleet, valid from Monday, January 26, at 10:00 AM, until Tuesday, January 27, at 8:00 PM, for the hilly and mountainous areas of the counties of Mehedinți, Gorj, Vâlcea, Argeș, Dâmbovița, and Prahova. It is estimated that in these areas, water quantities of 60-80 liters per square meter will accumulate, and at altitudes over 1700 meters, it will snow, with a snow layer of 30-40 cm. The wind will be strong, with gusts exceeding 100 km/h, blowing the snow and reducing visibility to under 50 meters. Additionally, a yellow code has been issued for significant precipitation in the southern Banat and the northern half of Oltenia and Muntenia, favoring snowmelt. In the rest of the country, there will be light precipitation, with temporary intensifications of the wind.
