Nuclearelectrica, the state-owned company that manages the nuclear power plant in Cernavodă, announced a power reduction at reactor 2, caused by the activation of a feedwater pump. The company specified that the reactor will return to its nominal power after the backup pump is started and that this reduction does not affect nuclear safety, personnel, or the population, being carried out according to applicable procedures.


In the first nine months of the year, Nuclearelectrica recorded a net profit of 1.62 billion lei, an increase of 26.6%, while operating revenues increased by 22.9%, reaching 4.17 billion lei. Electricity production increased by 1%, reaching 7,383 GWh. The company also announced an investment program for 2025 worth 3.43 billion lei, aimed at strategic projects and infrastructure development.
