The Ministry of Culture announced that in the first stage of the management project competition for the National Theatre 'I.L. Caragiale' in Bucharest, none of the three candidates were admitted, having scores of 5.74, 6.83, and 6.58, below the minimum passing score of 7. The candidates were Ada Lupu Hausvater, Alexandra Badea, and Radu Popescu. Additionally, the application of a fourth candidate, Gabriel Fătu, was not accepted.

According to the legislation, only candidates who achieve the minimum score can take the interview. The evaluation committee is made up of professionals from the cultural field, including theatre directors and cultural managers. The National Theatre has a long history of leaders, and after the death of Ion Caramitru, the position was temporarily taken over by Ioan Onisei, who passed away in 2022.
