Nicușor Dan took the oath of office on Monday in the plenary of the joint chambers of the Romanian Parliament, marking the beginning of his mandate as President of Romania.

<p>The swearing-in ceremony was attended by former presidents Traian Băsescu and Emil Constantinescu, Princess Margareta, Patriarch Daniel and other officials, but Nicușor Dan's partner was absent due to a medical problem of their son. The President of the Constitutional Court, Marian Enache, validated Dan's mandate, emphasizing the importance of respecting the Constitution and social pluralism. He wished the President-elect all the best in the performance of his duties.
