President Nicușor Dan stated, in an interview given at the end of the NATO summit in Ankara, that the meeting of allies clarified the commitment of the United States to NATO and creates the premises for strengthening the security of Romania.


Dan highlighted the opportunities for revitalizing the defense industry, mentioning the SAFE program and the need for attracting capital and modern management.


Regarding the reform of military pensions, the president assured that the new regulations will not affect the rights of those who already have the right to retire.


He also expressed optimism regarding Romania's accession to the OECD, emphasizing the technical efforts made.


Concerning the Republic of Moldova, Dan advocated for a "smart union," supporting the security of Chișinău and stimulating Romanian investments. He emphasized the importance of respecting the will of Moldovan citizens in this process.
