Nicușor Dan reacted to the influencers' criticisms regarding the appointments to the prosecutor's offices. He claims that the elections are fair and that he will be penalized if he makes a mistake.

President Nicușor Dan had a firm reaction at the press conference on Wednesday evening, responding to criticisms from some influencers who supported him, accused that his appointments to the leadership of the prosecutor's offices represent a betrayal of the pro-European vote and a surrender to the PSD. Dan emphasized that, in the event he makes a mistake, he will be penalized in the next elections, but rhetorically asked who will penalize the opinion makers who make such statements.

In the context of the appointments, the president announced that he accepted all the proposals for chief prosecutors made by PSD Minister Radu Marinescu, with the exception of Gil Iacobici, mentioning that the appointments are correct and necessary for the current moment. He also acknowledged that he appointed Cristina Chiriac as attorney general, despite the negative opinion from the CSM, and confirmed the appointments of Marius Voineag and Alex Florența, who did not receive a favorable opinion after four rounds of voting.
