President Nicușor Dan stated that Romania is making progress in the field of anti-drone protection, estimating that in about a year and a half, the country will be much better protected. Although it is not operating at 100% capacity, Dan emphasized that the situation is much better compared to two, four, or six months ago.

During a visit to Kiev, he discussed the integration of Ukraine's experience in defense against drones, mentioning that there is no perfect defense against drone attacks.

The president highlighted the progress in drone detection, through the use of radars, and in the equipment designed to destroy them. Nicușor Dan emphasized the contribution of international partners, such as the United States, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Slovakia, which have provided necessary equipment.

He concluded that Romania will continue to advance in this field, having a clear plan for the future.
