Nicușor Dan, the new President of Romania, will hold his first press conference at the Cotroceni, scheduled for 10:00. This comes a week after taking office and takes place against the backdrop of negotiations between pro-European parties to form the government and reduce the budget deficit. Dan said that a realistic deadline for the formation of the new government is two weeks, with the hope that an agreement on spending-cutting measures will be presented by Thursday.
